HOW I WORK2019-05-08T00:16:27+00:00

How I Work

Everyone’s different. I’m a scrappy creative with an eye on the big picture or the vision. What I bring to the table that is usually unique is a mix of creativity, respect for the data, and an ability to get my hands dirty in the actual doing. Most people are only good at one or two things. I’m pretty darn good at a bunch of ’em.

My background in copywriting, web project management, digital marketing and editorial team management has given me an understanding of and appreciation for the importance of strategy, product and marketing alignment, messaging and brand storytelling.

So, if you’re looking for a hybrid, a catalyst and everything in between, we’ll get on just swell!

The Informal Introduction

Before we even begin working on your project, I like to get to know a little bit about you. We’ll begin our relationship with a coffee meet up, a phone call or some other form of informal introduction. This helps me better understand your expectations and your preferences. It also gives you insight into who I am and how I work.

The Proposal

If we decide we’d like to move forward, the next phase is usually for me to outline a proposal for work to be completed. Typically, the proposal details what will be done, how it will be done, the timeline for the project and payment methods as well as deadlines. We can make adjustments to the project as we go, naturally, but the proposal is our “project contract.”

If I am contracting with you, however, the next step might be for you to pull together the contract. I will usually get this back to you within a couple of business days.

Work Begins

Once we’ve both agreed on the proposal or contract and the work to be completed, we move forward with the project and I usually begin “Phase 1.” I like to break my proposals up into logical phases that give you something to grasp. These phases are usually accompanied by relevant documentation that is also handed directly to you. Payments usually fall in line with the completion of each phase.

Ongoing Support

I am a big believer in providing whatever ongoing support is necessary. In the event that the scope is larger than I can handle, I will help you find the support you need. Some of my clients have opted for monthly support packages, others just get in touch when they need a little bit of help. The options are many and varied and are totally up to you!
