HOW I TACKLED THE PROJECT
Brief
When the Eugene Dive Club asked me to build a website to help promote monthly events and to increase member sign ups, I was delighted. Not only was I an avid scuba diver and a dive club member myself, but I could start from ground zero.
The website I agreed to design and build would have a calendar on it, a section where newsletters could be added, photo galleries, and the ability for any member with appropriate permissions to edit and tweak the site.
Deliverables
The website I built for the Eugene Dive Club is a testament to the adventurous spirit of the local diving community. It includes a section that allows people to subscribe to the monthly newsletter, a calendar of events and activities, multiple image galleries, membership information and forms and a page of useful resources. It is fully-hosted and managed by the Eugene Dive Club.

Results
The website has been integral in driving new membership sign ups. Traffic has grown steadily and the content on the site is attracting divers from Oregon and beyond. Events and trips are also better-promoted thanks to the Events section and sign ups to the newsletter have increased year over year.
